Aftershokz air open ear wireless headphones – Detailed Review
Write your peloton stories with this extraordinary set of headphones.
The aftershocks challenge:
About these headphones, I am going to start over with the most familiar word for this accessory.
Just in case you guys aren’t familiar with aftershocks, they were the first to introduce bone conduction technology which uniquely delivers sound through your cheekbones.
It has a sort of rugged and flexible build. Smooth enough to resist accidental breakage while in your gym bag.
In terms of exact build, it is made of premium titanium and sits at a 30-degree tilt, so it is against your face to reduce vibration compared to the previous generation.
With the angles mentioned above, you can even lie down and drop some heavyweight exercises.
Now also worth mentioning is the fact that it is 30% smaller and also 15% lighter as well.
As for me, I use these workout headphones when I’m on the treadmill in the gym, but besides running, these are mainly used while cycling and outdoor running since you can hear your music and surroundings simultaneously.
Comfort at its best with a sweat-proof facility:
Just having nothing sticking in the ears, will give an immense sort of comfort against wearing earbuds.
While working out where typically, we can’t stop sweating. As for the earbuds, you have to wipe off your sweat after every exercise.
Whereas these headphones have an ip67 rating, which means they are fully waterproof and sweatproof.
Sound qualities on these bone conduction headphones:
I have to say that the sound has improved drastically, with way better volume and bass reduction.
Since it is a bone-conduction headphone, you usually can’t have a lot of basses. Also worth mentioning is there are no audio/video syncing issues when watching Netflix or listening to music on your peloton. This is surely a plus factor.
Don’t miss out on the BATTERY LIFE!
It claims that you can get about 8 hours of battery life, which I got a bit more as it was quite surprising as they also claim a full charge within 2 hrs.
It is a great option if you’re looking for something super portable, lightweight, and, above all, perfect sounding in all circumstances.
2. Bose Sound Sport Wireless
- Bose soundsport wireless
- High-quality audio
- Wireless connectivity technology with the convenience of Bluetooth
- Reliable sweat and water-resistant

- 4 different colors to choose from.
- Longevity problems
- Bulky look
Bose sound sport wireless – Detailed Review
Going over the physical features, I admit these are a bit bigger than I anticipated, but looks are objective now.
The earbuds are sweat-resistant, making them one of the best headphones for Peloton working sessions.
Comfort and stability are always a key priority:
Bose claims an unmatched combination of comfort and stability, and this is possible with three different sizes of sport-ear tips. The cord is also thick and feels very durable and flexible.
Pairing and Connectivity are worth mentioning, though:
The pairing process is so simple, using Bluetooth technology. It also has a Bluetooth indicator on the bottom of the right earphones.
LED Indicators and Battery life:
The sound port earbud utilizes a lithium-ion battery. Charging takes two hours, and the battery life is 6 hours per full charge.
There is a power button on the top of the right earphone, which has an LED to indicate when they are fully charged or about to die.
Sound quality is the deal-breaker for these headphones.
They have a very nice clean audio signature, it is not loud or brash. It means even at a loud volume, you won’t have hearing fatigue.
When you are running, the wires might bounce or rub against your shirt, but these sound sports do very well, not carrying any noise into the earphones when music is going on.
So, that’s everything on the new BOSE soundsport WIRELESS headphones here. I do like them, the audio signature is very clean, and the fit was good and very comfortable.
You will get premium sound quality for an affordable price.
A lot of people buy a whole set of accessories that are used while using a peloton bike.
In this era of time, where everyone is busy professionally and privately, one of the most bought accessories is headphones. Workaholic fitness freaks have to manage both health and wealth simultaneously.
They use these headphones while riding their peloton bike, and the office work goes consecutively sideways. However, some are musically addicted and love to do workouts while listening to their favorite playlist on Spotify.
Although, I have highlighted only two reasons to use headphones on the Peloton. There might be many to count on.
There are several good headphones for Peloton out there, which are discussed more below.
3. Jaybird Vista
- Fully waterproof.
- Drop-proof and sweat-proof.
- Exclusive Jaybird app for an incredible experience.
- Reliable connection
- Smallest and lightest stature
- Compatible with Android and iOS.
- Jaybird app availability
- Comfortable, secure, and waterproof
- Difficulty using external buttons
Jaybird Vista – Detailed Review
This is the best product that Jaybird has released yet. But mind you, they command a hefty price.
But I believe these wireless earbuds are solid under the $100 range.
So let’s see whether they are worth buying at this price range.
Bluetooth and connectivity:
They have Bluetooth 5.0, but they also have this new Jaybird technology called JB s1.
It gives you a crystal clear, strong connection with zero to no lag.
Now it is ipx7 waterproof and earth proof (whatever that possibly could be). These affect the microphone working to a great extent.
Noise isolation and sound quality go together:
They isolate noise very well, which means they block out most unwanted noise.
As for sound, you can set EQ yourself using the Jaybird app mentioned above. And once you update them, they sound wonderful.
Battery life is necessary:
The battery life on these earbuds is impressive, especially considering the size of everything.
On the earbuds, it’s 6 hours, and on the case, it’s 10 hrs. It sounds amazing for about 6 whole hrs on this tiny little earbud.
If you pick them up and they are dead, 5 minutes of charge would give you an hour of usage for a good peloton ride.
What’s the importance of an app for headphones?
If you want to customize anything for an instant volume, you will have to change the settings from the app.
So while speaking of the app, having them is pretty much necessary. No, I don’t mean that you can’t use these headphones without the app. It is just meant to give you an experience of more features of it.
4. Sennheiser CX 6.00 BT Wireless
- Convenient multi-connection with two devices simultaneously.
- Splendid frequency response
- 6 hrs battery life with 1.5 hrs of USB charging.
- Excellent attenuation with the personalized fit-in ear canal.
- Best sound quality.
- Good warranty timing.
- Long battery life.
- Highly durable
- Fatiguing over longer listening time
- Sometimes bulky
Sennheiser CX 6.00 BT Wireless – Detailed Review
These are Bluetooth earphones from Sennheiser; a bit costly, though.
Let’s jump right into it to know whether it’s worth buying.
Built-ins and connection:
Due to their small stature, they are very light. But the case given to them to carry is quite bulky and is not preferable for traveling purposes. In the end, you have to carry your own light weighted case to carry them safely.
Connection is great for this. You could walk far away from your phone without the connection dropping.
I haven’t even experienced them disconnecting once in the whole time I have used them.
They can also be connected to different devices simultaneously, i.e. on the iPhone and Galaxy simultaneously.
They don’t have a perfect noise-isolating feature. So, if you want to take them to the gym, they cannot cancel out the noise from the surroundings.
This pair of earphones are made for listeners who want high-quality sound from a very small form factor.
Listening to music is superb; you get clarity in vocals, and there’s no distortion in the highest, even at max volume base.
All in all, the sound quality is well-balanced for my ears.
Sennheiser app for A Better experience:
If you like to tune your earphones more, you can do it with a Sennheiser’s app called cap tune in the Captain app.
You can go to different genres, and there are quite a few presets, so from loud noise to pop-rock hip hop, and if you like, you can even go to custom.
Long story short, you can change any kind of setting with this.
How could you miss out on the battery lifespan?
The battery life is not that appreciable. We get 5 hrs plus of usage, which is not close to being enough for a day without charging in the middle.
But they touch pretty fast and charge up with full power within 90 minutes of charging.
5. Samsung Galaxy Wireless
- Compatible with Android and iOS.
- A dedicated internal and two external microphones.
- 11 hrs of nonstop usage on a single charge.
- Perfect fitting earbuds to isolate you from distracting noises.
- Use galaxy wearable apps for some fantastic features.
- High-quality sound.
- Comfy and secure in-ear fit.
- Optimal bass for music
- Not waterproof
Samsung Galaxy Wireless – Detailed Review
It feels like Samsung Galaxy has finally got it right with the galaxy buzz. They are sleek, offer many features, and are available for $50 less than the Apple Ear pods and well below the price point of other higher-end earbuds.
So let’s take a closer look at all the features these galaxy headphones provide.
Six hours of battery life, a wireless charging case, and a light, nimble design.
They come with a charging case, a long USB type-c cable, and three sets of silicone ear tips and fins.
Opening the case, you will first notice that the buds are much lighter and smaller. They’d fit snugly, and there will be no issues while placing them.
Battery life is The Basic Necessity:
Its battery life is pretty good, we got 6 hours of uptime per charge. The case itself gives us an additional 7 hrs of charged time.
So we’re talking about 13 hrs of total use, which is plenty to get us through our day.
Touch controls and sound effects by using the Samsung app:
Some other features include options to change songs or adjust the volume using the intuitive touch controls we configured inside the Samsung app.
In the app, you can choose between five equalizer settings to tailor the perfect sound to your ears. It gives a soft and clear mode to the sound.
I was impressed with how the galaxy buds fit two onboard microphones into each bud. When you make a call, the earbuds would analyze the amount of loudness around you, the mic will let you pipe in the sound of the outside world.
It also gives an ambient sound mode while running or using a Peloton bike.
Oh! So you lost your earbuds? What to do now?
Just continue reading…
These earbuds are pretty small, and it is not unthinkable to be clumsy like me and misplace them often.
So instead of digging through the couches and cushions, Samsung comes to the rescue here with a “find my earbud feature”.
While they may not offer an over-the-top experience, they still deliver a pleasurable and customizable experience that is as good and better than the other higher models.
So, they are well worth the price.
6. Apple AirPods Pro
- Eye-catching transparency mode for hearing and connecting
- Sweat and water-resistant
- Active noise cancellation availability
- Customizable fit ins
- Adaptive EQ
- Quick access to SIRI
- Faster connections
- Reliable assistance from Siri
- Highly convenient to operate
- Connection to other devices might break the automatic connection to the peloton.
Apple AirPods Pro – Detailed Review
I guess many people care about these ear pods, making them the most popular headphones on the planet earth.
Pretty quickly, within about two or three years of them coming out and so smartly, Apple decided to follow up and capitalize with a professional version of them with some extra features.
So let’s dive in there to know more.
Better windproof mic:
The new microphone has been improved and relocated from the bottom of the stem to the outside.
It has a larger mesh-covered microphone port which will drastically improve audio quality when outside in the wind.
So, whether you’re just talking to Siri, dictating messages, or taking straight-up phone calls, these earbuds do a much better job of cutting out the wind.
The Transparency mode:
So, the new audio transparency mode works as if it is a pass-through mode that allows you to hear what’s happening around you.
With the AirPods in your ear, it may be beneficial for having clarity in audio.
Apple AirPods Pro is useful for various situations, from just walking down the street to sitting in the office or working out at the gym on your Peloton bike. That’s why they are ipx4 water and sweat-resistant for your comfort zone.
These are the best features of the Apple AirPods Pro. There are so many other things that you would love about them.
The charging case is fantastic, wireless charging is awesome. Being able to easily pair the devices and share audio on IOS 13.2 gadgets, there’s a lot more you can count on.
So, if you haven’t got it yet, you can find the best deals out there.
This is probably the biggest feature of the AirPods. It does not feed forward noise cancellation because there are multiple microphones involved.
Final Call: Will it be worth buying?
We have compiled a list of the best headphones for Peloton enthusiasts. We have considered ergonomics, sound quality, and the general user experience.
Some people use their headphones exclusively for music, while others use them as an additional piece of equipment to be paired with their Peloton bike.

The sound quality is essential because it will affect your experience in a workout environment where you need to hear instructions clearly and accurately from your trainers on how to proceed with your form or posture to get better results.
As a result, with the six best headphones for the peloton already on this list, it’s your turn to make your decision.
